Our LNP programme is via the Prime Contractor who is A4e. The aims of this programme is to assist adults (18+) in improving their literacy, language and numeracy skills by achieving a nationally recognised qualification, as well as improving their skills for work with an ultimate goal of obtaining employment.
Many of our learners attend the workplace where they gain valuable work experience in their chosen area. The length of placement varies as this is dependent on the individual needs of the learner, but can be up to 26 weeks
Our ESOL provision is mainly for refugees who, in some cases, have left professional careers but need to improve their English language, reading and writing skills in order to obtain employment in the UK.
The New Deal 18-24 programme is aimed at young people who have been unemployed for 6 months or more, some may have low basic skill levels, social and emotional needs and many come from deprived backgrounds.
New Deal 25 plus is a mandatory programme of help designed to address the problems of long-term unemployment in customers aged 25 and over. The aim of New Deal 25 plus is to improve people’s chances of finding and keeping a job. New Deal 25 plus gives people a chance to re-look at their situation, take the skills and experience they may have already and build on them to create better opportunities for work. It may also help them to tackle any barriers they may face in getting into work.
